Union staff T4's are now available online through VRSnet. VRSnet is where you log into see your Pay Statements and Schedule.
Please log into VRSnet to receive your T4. You can find your T4 under the personal tab - tax slips.
T4's will not be mailed or produced in hard copy.
Pension Adjustment statements have been mailed directly to your home on Feb.16, 2024.

E-LEARNING
VRS has two (2) mandatory courses on the http://www.vrslearns.org The courses are
(1) Workplace violence prevention (WCB required)
(2) Mandatory privacy training
All staff must complete these 2 mandatory courses. Please contact your site supervisor if you have any questions.

Criminal Record Check 5 Years from the Expiry Date
FoodSafe Certificate 5 Years from the Expiry Date
CPR/ First Aid Level C (1day course) 3 Years from the Expiry Date
E-Learning Certificates:
Respect In Workplace Every 2 years from the Date of Certification
Easy Llama: Sexual Harassment Prevention Certificate Every 2 years from the Date of Certification
Policies:
VRS Confidentiality Sign-Off Every 2 Years from the Signing Date
Children Site Documents:
MCFD screening renewals 3 Years from the "Screened in" Date
MCFD Document Requirements:
Employees working in the Children Sites are required to submit the following documents upon their recruitment:
1. CCRC (Content for Disclosure of Criminal Record Information)
2. PCC (Consent for Prior Contact Check)
3. 5-year CRC or CRRA (Criminal Record Check)
4. Assessment for Working with Children Form
5. Exception Letter (Applicable ONLY if the employee has resided outside of Canada for 6 months since turning 18 years old)
6. 3 references (personal and/or professional)
NOTE: MCFD screen is valid for 3 years and requires renewal after every 3 years from the date of MCFD Clearance.
STAFF ACCESS TO YOUR VRS WORK SCHEDULE
All VRS scheduling is done "live" and is shown on your log in account on VRSnet. If you are unsure if your vacation request(s) has been filled or if you are unsure of your confirmed shifts please log in to access this information. You can view your personal work schedule under the tab PERSONAL and click on SCHEDULE.
IMPORTANT: RN DELEGATED TASKS
As per Professional delegation of Nursing Tasks and Personal Assistance Guidelines, it is mandatory that all VRS Employees responsible for providing personal care to VRS clients must complete the Competency Training Skills (Task 2) assigned by the VRS RN Supervisors. All newly hired staff must complete the Task 2 skills required prior to their assigned shifts. For existing staff, the Competency Assessment Skills should be reviewed and completed on an annual basis. Competency training identifies the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to providing high quality of support and safe care to all VRS clients. The following nursing delegated tasks are:
- Medication administration
- G-GJ tube care and administration
- Bowel and bladder care
- Ventilator Care for specialized setting/VRS site
In order to be in compliance staff have an obligation to make themselves available for this paid training on an annual basis. A validation certificate will be issued and tracked in our QHR data base.
VACATION BLOCK REQUEST FORM
Vacation block form deadline is December 12, 2023. Please complete this form and submit as soon as possible. Please contact your Supervisor or Dolly Dhand (HR Co-ordinator) if you have any questions.
EMPLOYEE REFERRAL REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
VRS is offering $200 for every referral that the employee send us.
Minimum Requirement: The referred employee needs to complete a minimum of 2-3 shifts per month for 3 consecutive months.
Once the minimum requirement is met, the employee (who made the referral) needs to fill out the "Employee Referral Reimbursement" form and email to dana@vrs.org for approval and submission to payroll.
NEW POSTING INFORMATION
All VRS staff can access VRS internal job postings through the www.vrs.org website (password protected - please see your supervisor). Job postings will now have the name of the staff member who was awarded the posting.
DRIVERS ABSTRACT - NEW PROCEDURE (ON-LINE)
As per CLBC policy and CARF standards all employees whose duties include transporting individuals must provide a Drivers Abstract at least every five (5) years to the employer. To stay in compliance, VRS is requesting that employees obtain a Drivers Abstract. Please go to icbc.com, specifically http://www.icbc.com/driver-licensing/getting-licensed/Pages/Your-driving-record.aspx and answer the questions that pop up. This takes a minute or two at most. There is no cost to the employee or employer for this service. Thank you for your cooperation.
Note: VRS is also providing In-house training for Class 4 Driver's License. VRS also offers $200 reimbursement once the employee obtains their Class 4 Driver's License.
FIRST AID CERTIFICATES
VRS has audited all employees First Aid tickets and their expiry dates. All employees applying for positions and those employees who are in posted positions are expected to hold current First Aid certification. VRS is requiring the one day 8-hour Emergency First Aid / CPR and AED Level C course.
